Recycling operations

How a bale becomes a pellet

The schematic below follows material through the Malanpur line: five tightly controlled stages from post-consumer bale to dispatch-ready rHDPE.

  1. Intake & sorting

Post-consumer HDPE is sorted with sensor-based technology to isolate clean polymer streams.

  2. Hot wash

Multi-stage washing strips labels, adhesives, and contaminants from the flake.

  3. Extrusion & pelletizing

Degassed, melt-filtered extrusion produces uniform, high-consistency rHDPE pellets.

  4. Lab QC

MFI, density, color, and contamination testing on every lot, documented in the COA.

  5. Dispatch pan India

Pellets ship with recycled-content documentation for EPR and plastic credit claims.

A note on grades: we produce industrial-grade rHDPE for non-food applications. We do not currently manufacture food-contact rHDPE, and we say so plainly because buyers deserve specifications they can build on.

Green credits & compliance

Plastic credits, EPR credits, and the carbon case for recycled HDPE

Recycling is no longer just an environmental statement. In India it is a regulated, credit-bearing economy, and buying from a documented recycler is how corporates collect.

Plastic & EPR credits

Under the Plastic Waste Management Rules, producers, importers, and brand owners carry extended producer responsibility targets. Certificates generated by registered recyclers, like the documentation that ships with our pellets, offset those targets on the CPCB portal.

Carbon & green credits

Recycled HDPE carries a dramatically lower carbon footprint than virgin resin. As India's Carbon Credit Trading Scheme matures, documented recycled content becomes a measurable input to corporate decarbonization claims.

Plastic recycling, pan India

From Malanpur in central India we serve buyers and feedstock partners nationwide. One plant, one standard of documentation, and a supply chain your auditors can follow end to end.

Government compliance

Recycled content is now a packaging law, not a pledge

Under the amended Plastic Waste Management Rules notified by the MoEFCC, rigid plastic packaging must contain mandatory recycled content: 30% from FY 2025-26, rising to 40% in FY 2026-27 and 60% by FY 2028-29. The obligation applies directly to producers, importers, and brand owners.

Documented, consistent rHDPE is becoming one of the scarcest industrial inputs in India. Shatrunjay EcoPlast was built specifically for this moment.

40%

recycled content required in rigid plastic packaging by FY 2026-27

  • Applies to producers, importers & brand owners
  • IS 14534:2023 conformity for recycled plastics
  • EPR certificates tradable on the CPCB portal
  • Non-compliance risks penalties and delisting

Why buy from us

The case for our pellets, line by line

  • MANDATE

    Mandate-ready recycled content

Recycled content requirements for rigid plastic packaging tighten every year. Locked-in rHDPE volumes keep your packaging compliant without scramble pricing.

  • QUALITY

    European-line consistency

Sorting, hot wash, and extrusion technology specified from elite European suppliers, so melt flow and color stay consistent lot after lot.

  • CREDITS

    EPR & plastic credit paperwork

Recycled-content certificates and processing records that plug straight into CPCB portal filings.

  • SUPPLY

    Forward contract security

Multi-year offtake agreements that turn a compliance risk into a stable, priced-in supply line.

  • LOGISTICS

    Central India advantage

Malanpur sits on major freight corridors, keeping pan-India deliveries fast and freight costs sane.

  • SCALE

    Capacity that matters

At roughly 30,000 tonnes a year across two continuous lines, we are built for corporate-scale offtake, not boutique volumes.

Applications

Where industrial rHDPE goes to work

  • Crates & pallets
  • Pipes & profiles
